In the wintertime many people try to find ways to stay inside as much as possible due to the colder weather, but this doesn't have to be the case. If you get yourself the right outdoor gear you can go on outings and enjoy the winter weather to the fullest, and who knows €" you might manage to have even more fun than in the summer!

One of the weather types that people in the UK have a love/hate relationship with is snow. When it isn't snowing people wish it was, but as soon as the snowfall begins you can't count the number of people that complain about it. The reason for this is that snow can cause quite a lot of difficulty when travelling €" the roads can become slippery and make driving dangerous, while pedestrians have to do their best to trudge through the snow and avoid slipping on icy patches.

There are loads of fun things that the snow brings though, including sledging. You shouldn't let the snow keep you indoors this winter, but if you do want to venture outside you should probably invest in some weatherproof clothing first.

At the top of your list should be a good pair of wellies. You can get these in all styles nowadays, so even fashion-conscious ladies will be able to find a pair to match their outfit. There are men's, women's and children's sizes available from online stores, so start shopping now.

Once your wellies have been sorted you can move onto your coat €" you will want something that is waterproof while also being warm, so opt for a proper waterproof coat. If this isn't possible, you could always get yourself an overcoat made of waterproof material that you can wear on top of a warm jacket €" these can be found in camping stores all over the UK.

If you want to keep yourself extra warm you could get yourself some over trousers as well, and these will come in handy when the weather is at its worst. They will keep your legs nice and dry and will prove vital if there's a combination of rain, wind and snow outside.

And last but not least on your shopping list comes a pair of snow grips for your shoes. These can clip onto the soles of your shoes and will help to keep you upright when out playing in the snow.
