- 1). Consult your lawyer, if you have one. Any major decisions that could affect a criminal trial should be made with legal counsel.
- 2). Speak to the district attorney prosecuting the case and explain to him that you want a polygraph administered.
- 3). Report to the designated location at the designated time for the test. It will normally be administered by the Special Investigations Division, headquartered at 1 Police Plaza in New York.
- 4). Undergo the test according to the instructions of the administering investigator.
