Trip To Kerala For Rahuls Wedding
We also had the experience of having food in a Banana leaf, typical Kerala style. The food was so delicious that we ate so much that we could hardly move after our lunch. Somehow we manage to get back to our rooms and we didnt realize that we slept for more than six hours. Still we were feeling so much full that none of us were in mood to get up. Early next day, Rahul came to our room. He came to us with a surprise and the surprise was a trip being planned by his cousins. His cousins asked us to join them to Alleppey or Allapuhza, a town which is very famous for its backwaters, beaches and lagoons. We were thrilled to take the trip and the booking was already confirmed at panoramic sea resort. We were a bit surprised when we reached there as we came to know that panoramic sea resort is managed by Panoramic Universal Limited (PUL). PUL has its hotels and resorts in Mumbai and since we recently been to their Karnala resort it was a bit of shocker for us as we never imagined to be a brand which is spread across India.
The resort was just next to the beach and it was not a resort like we find in Mumbai. It was completely different and the atmosphere around was so calm that I immediately liked it. His cousins had planned of getting some Ayurveda massages and for us it was completely a new thing so we didnt took the chance. We also got a chance of witnessing the beautiful backwaters and lagoons. The resort guys arranged for a houseboat for us and trust me the feeling of staying in a middle of water is like having its own kingdom.
Now since, many tourists flock to Alleppey you could find many houseboats there. Also the rates which they charge the tourists are way above the local rates. Spending a day in Alleppey was truly like staying in Gods country. The trip to Kerala for friends wedding gave all of us an opportunity to view some of the beautiful beaches, backwaters and lagoons. We all have planned to visit the place again very soon and instead of staying for a day will try to spend at least 3 days in the Alleppey.
