- 1). Navigate to the WorkFirst eligibility pages on the New Jersey Department of Human Services Division of Family Development website (see Resource).
- 2). Click on the "County welfare agency" link to find the contact details of the welfare office in your area.
- 3). Telephone your county's welfare office to determine your eligibility and complete the application process if you qualify. The fact that you previously received welfare payments does not necessarily mean you will qualify for them again. A case worker will help you with your application for financial assistance and other support once your eligibility has been confirmed.
