If you ever get invited to a wedding you will probably have to buy the happy couple a gift.
I have had to do this on numerous occasions but always ended up leaving it to the last minute.
When you leave it to the last minute it adds to the pressure and in the end you don't know what to buy.
People these days are living with each other before they marry.

They treat it as a competition.
A few months ago I was invited to a wedding.
I didn't really know the couple as they were friends of my girlfriend.
They had been living together for a long time so they asked for donations to their honeymoon.
They didn't just ask for money, they did something a little different.
They didn't just want the guests to give a flat amount towards the honeymoon they wanted it to be something more personal.
They went through all the things they wanted to do on holiday such as meals, rock climbing etc.
They then worked out the costs of each one.
Then you as a guest could view all the activities that they wanted to do.
Depending on your budget you can decide what you wanted to contribute.
You could buy them breakfast or even a bikini.
They would then take a picture of them at the breakfast so you could see them enjoying it.
It is obvious from the above that the wedding couple can assist the guests in buying unusual wedding gifts and the sole responsibility isn't down to the guest.
