How to Stop Raspberries From Spoiling
- 1). Sort the berries prior to storage. Remove damaged, crushed or soft berries and use these immediately. Place firm, undamaged berries in a perforated plastic bag.
- 2). Store the bagged fresh raspberries in the vegetable crisper drawer in the refrigerator. The higher humidity in this drawer helps retain the quality of the fresh berries.
- 3). Inspect the raspberries daily during storage. Remove any that begin to soften and use immediately. Raspberries store best for up to two days, and typically begin showing signs of spoilage after two days.
