How to Make Chai Tea Mix as an Easy and Frugal Gift in a Jar
- 1). Combine the following ingredients in a large mixing bowl: 1 cup dry milk powder, 1 cup dry (powdered) nondairy creamer, 1 cup dry (powdered) nondairy, French vanilla creamer, 2 1/2 cups white sugar, 1 1/2 cups unsweetened instant tea, 2 tsp. ground ginger, 2 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1 tsp. ground cloves and 1 tsp. ground cardamom.
- 2). Stir your ingredients together with a mixing spoon.
- 3). Scoop 1 cup at a time into a food processor with a measuring cup and mix until you have created a fine, powdered substance. Once each cup has been mixed, set it aside in a second, large mixing bowl.
- 4). Scoop the fine powdered chai tea mix into individual Mason canning jars until each jar is nearly full. Screw the lid onto each jar to seal it.
- 5). Tie a decorative ribbon around the the upper edge of the jar and create a bow.
- 6). Write "Chai Tea" and the directions for mixing 1 cup of tea on a plain white label and stick it onto the outside of the jar. Directions are as follows: Add 2 heaping tsp. chai tea mix to a coffee mug full of hot water and stir.
