Synopsis

When Manjula discovers that Apu's eighteen-hour workdays are not normal in America, Apu decides to show how much he lovers her by giving her a romantic surprise every day leading up to Valentine's Day.

But when the other wives in Springfield learn about Apu's gestures of love, they become embittered and disenchanted with their husbands and boyfriends. Homer puts together a team of men to stop Apu. On Valentine's Day they follow Apu to the airport. When they see Elton John, they think Apu has hired him to serenade Manjula, and they lock him in a dog carrier.

Then they find out that Apu has hired a skywriter to scribe a romantic message to Manjula. In an effort to foil Apu's plan, Homer leaps onto the biplane as it takes off. During the struggle between Homer and the skywriter, the message is ruined. But Edna Krabappel, Mrs. Wiggum, and Maude Flanders each think the message is for them. Meanwhile, the pilot drags Homer through a rose field. Homer ends up falling into his backyard covered in roses. The flowers fall at Marge's feet, and she kisses Homer, telling him how romantic he is. Later, Elton John holds a private concert for Apu and Manjula's Valentine's Day.
