How to relax your mind is something we all struggle with.
Especially when you have children to worry about, your job gives you stress and you have to run a house.
A million things constantly going through your mind, you are concerned about what you have to do, what you have done and when will you do the things that need to.
The thing about these concerns is that it becomes wasted energy.
You not physically doing anything at that particular moment, only worrying about things that need to be done.
The problem that occurs with this lost energy is that your mind makes you feel as if you are doing something by worrying and many people cannot let go of this.
They cannot simply relax their minds.
The ironic thing about relaxing the mind is that it is often achieved through getting the body moving.
People always say when they go through a break up for instance that they would rather work to keep their minds of the ordeal.
This applies to every aspect of life, except work does not mean exhausting yourself.
It simply means occupying yourself.
In order to relax the mind this busyness of the body has to be something therapeutic though.
The more you sit in silence and do nothing the more your mind takes over and you start thinking just about everything.
The activities you should indulge in should include things like taking up painting or mosaic or even doing Tai chi.
A dance class or a relaxing work out at the gym could also help.
The thing about these activities especially Tai chi is that it works on your soul as well.
Remember that the mind, body and soul is one unit and in order to relax one part of that unit it is necessary to involve the other two.
