Baldness in Women
Baldness in women is also known as female pattern alopecia.
There are not as many women who suffer from baldness as there are in the male population.
But it is distressing for women as society seems to view men with hair problems as normal but not women.
In many cases, baldness in women stems from hormonal problems or imbalances.
This is the main reason why females may see more hair fall out than what they would deem 'normal' after child birth or at the start of menopause.
Birth control pills are known to affect the balance of hormones and these can also cause hair loss.
Hair thinnin or loss in females may also occur due to aging, unsuitable hair styles which cause stress on the hair follicles, bad diet or poor choice of hair products.
Then there is the disorder called trichotillomania.
This is a rare, obsessive compulsive disorder that happens in some people which causes the person to physically pull out the hair on the head.
And let us not forget the symptoms of stress.
Women are known to lose hair at very prolonged stressful periods.
It is known that around 1 in every 5 women will experience hair thinning or baldness to some level during the years.
But it is not all bad news as in a lot of cases, it is possible to reverse the symptoms of baldness in women.
Sometimes, if the cause is due to a poor choice of hairstyle, bad diet or stress, a change in circumstances can allow the body to rebalance everything and the hair will grow back.
In other cases, help may be needed from a good hair restoration product.
If that is the case, a hair loss product that has been created for the delicate needs of women should be chosen as opposed to a rebranded mens hair loss product.
Selecting the wrong hair loss product can may actually cause more harm so always go for a hair loss product which has been researched and created for women.
