    • 1). Remove one of the downspouts from the rain gutter on your house where you will install the rainwater tank under. Use the drill to remove the screws holding the downspout and pull it off.

    • 2). Place the water tank so it is located in the middle of where the downspout from the rain gutter was located.

    • 3). Connect the flexible downspout extender where you removed the original downspout. Secure it in place with the screws that held the original downspout.

    • 4). Connect the downspout debris filter two feet above where the rainwater tank will be located. Use the drill and the screws that came with the downspout debris filter to secure it to the wall.

    • 5). Secure another flexible piece of flexible downspout extender to the bottom of the downspout debris filter. Just push the downspout extender into the debris filter and it will stay secure.

    • 6). Insert the end of the downspout extender into the rainwater tank. Push the downspout extender into the tank and it will stay secure.

    • 7). Secure the garden hose to the faucet in the bottom of the water tank with your hands. You can use your water tank to supply the garden hose with water, but wait until the tank is at least 1/4 full before using it.
