How to Plant Wonder Flower Bulbs
- 1). Select an area in your yard to plant the bulbs that is in full sun to partial shade. Ideal locations are under the filtered shade of trees and shrubs or next to ground covers, according to Iowa State University Extension.
- 2). Remove any weeds, grass or debris if necessary in the designated location.
- 3). Loosen the soil 12 to 15 inches deep and mix in a 4-inch layer of organic matter.
- 4). Plant the bulbs 2 to 3 inches deep, spacing 6 inches apart. Cover firmly with the soil. Plant in clumps of 12 for an appealing effect. Water deeply.
- 5). Water during the flowering season to keep the soil moist (but no need to water excessively, as they're drought-tolerant).
