Tough Interview Questions - Why Did You Leave Each of Your Previous Employers?
The employer needs to know if you are that kind of person who joins them for good or that kind of person who gets bored immediately and just leaves after only a few months? Your future employer may have this problem if he reads on your CV that you have changed a lot of jobs in a really short time.
There are people who get bored with their work and they would rather move on with their career and change their job as fast as possible! These are the people who just cannot have the same job for a longer time! This is why, when you are being asked these questions, you need to focus on the positive reasons that made you move to a new company: *tell him that you were just seeking for a greater responsibility and the company you were working for could not offer this to you.
*you wanted a more challenging job, not a boring one; *you were looking for greater security - you wanted a stable workplace but the company you were working *for could not offer you the security you needed; *you were searching for a full time job, but the company could offer only a part time one and this is why you had to leave; *you wanted to develop your professional skills, but you just could not do that in your previous organisation.
You have to make your interviewer understand that the previous companies did not offer you the opportunities that you have hoped for and that you believe that this is the chance that you were expecting for.
Make him understand that having a stable job is really important to you, but that some other things are also important.
You have to assure your interviewer that the fact that you have changed your job a couple of times helped you develop certain professional skills.
You have to assure you future employer that now you want to settle down and that you are just searching for a stable job.
You should also mention him that you are ready for a stable job as long as the company you are going to work for offers you great development opportunities.
