Matt Maiellaro, The creator of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the 3rd longest running animated series of all time, is developing what appears may be one of the funniest live action comedy movies of all time. The project has a lot going for it. Its based on one of the best selling books of all time, Mad Libs. The movie's title will include the same title as the book series, "Mad Libs The Movie."

Mad Libs was first published in 1958 by Leonard Stern and Roger Price. Stern and Price were also known for being writers on shows during the golden age of TV, including The Honeymooners and Get Smart. In 2011, Mad Libs book sales surpassed 110 million copies. There are only a handful of books to ever reach this milestone. For the few that don't know, Mad Libs books contain short stories on each page with many keywords replaced with blank spaces. The reader or players of the game fill in the blanks with their own nouns, verbs, and adjectives, etc. The completed story is read aloud and the result is usually comical, surreal and often nonsensical.

The movie's website provides hints of what Matt Maiellaro is creating for the film version. It appears the movie will be about one particular Mad Libs story that "four dudes" believe is true. Quoting from the website, "A Mad Libs story predicts the end will occur in 12 hours. Four Dudes believe it and go on a twisted mission to protect a Sake Bottle and save the Earth." It's rumored the four dudes follow the instructions provided in a specific Mad Libs story that take them on a crazy scavenger hunt across Los Angeles. The tone will be much like the hit film, "The Hangover."

The website also includes a short video of rolling credits. The iconic Mad Libs face is seen flying around in a spaceship. Maiellaro's past stories have often included space and aliens. It's still unclear what role space or aliens will have to do with the story's premise.

The movie poster reveals what may be some of the elements of each task. There is a photo of Bigfoot, a sake bottle, a black mannequin, a guy pitching a tent, Willie Nelson's Rooster, a fortune cookie and a gay spider. How these all add up is still unclear. What is clear is the movie will likely be full of fun euphemisms and innuendo.

If Mad Libs The Movie is anything like Maiellaro's Aqua Teen Hunger Force, now known as Aqua Unit Patrol Squad one, it will be irreverent, smart and certainly funny.

The website invites fans to check in often to track the production's progress. Follow the movie's progress at [http://www.madlibsthemovie.com]
