Add wet ingredients to the ground beef before forming into patties. Working in Worcestershire sauce, teriyaki sauce or condensed soup adds flavor and keeps the meat moist.

Use freshly ground pepper or other spices instead of pre-packaged, whenever possible.

Apply salt, pepper or spice rubs just prior to cooking. Applying too far ahead of time can dry out the meat.

Cook the patties over hardwood chips, such as apple wood or hickory. This will impart extra flavor to the meat as it cooks.
