How to Encrypt a Linksys WGA11B
- 1). Connect an Ethernet cable from the computer to the back of the WGA11B.
- 2). Insert the installation disc into the disc drive of your computer. A setup wizard will stop.
- 3). Click "Setup," then if the setup wizard cannot find the game adapter, click "Continue."
- 4). Click "Next," then enter "admin" when prompted for a password. Click "Enter."
- 5). Select the option for "Obtain IP address automatically," then click "Next."
- 6). Click the drop-down menu next to "Mode", then click "Internet."
- 7). Enter the SSID (network name) into the text box next to "SSID." The SSID can be anything you want it to be.
- 8). Click the drop-down menu next to "WEP", then click either "64-bit" or "128-bit."
- 9). Enter the security key in the text box next to "Key." If you chose "64-bit" in Step 8, the key must be 10 characters long using 0-9 and/or A-F. If you chose "128-bit" in Step 8, the key must be 26 characters long using 0-9 and/or A-F. Click "No" at the bottom right of the screen, then click "Exit."
