Ted Kennedy Should Not Be Allowed to Return to the US Senate

Doctors say that Ted Kennedy's brain cancer or tumor is in remission and so he is returning back to work, but is that fair for all concerned? Is it fair to the American People that someone with such a mental impairment is allowed to come back to work after missing so much of what has happened? How effective can someone in his condition really be? Now, we all stand with survivors of such horrific ailments, but in this case it is not fair for him to return just so he can feel important or that we can feel empathy.
We have a nation to run in very turbulent and important times, Ted Kennedy has been there in the Senate forever and a day.
We already realize that even a super speed reading instructor could not read all the bills that came across their desk in the US Senate, so how in our right minds can we allow someone to serve who is not in their right mind, due to a known mental impairment? Are we so politically correct that we are going to let this one slide? If so, let me ask you a question - should we only elect senators who are mentally impaired to serve in our government? If you say no, then think about why you reasoned that.
Then apply that obvious logic to the question at hand here.
It doesn't matter which side of the political spectrum you are on, no one should serve in the US Senate or as president who is mentally impaired.
Please think on this, it's time we faced reality.
