- 1). Login to your Tumblr account.
- 2). Click the URL to your Tumblr blog in the right-side menu on you Tumblr dashboard.
- 3). Click "Customize" in the upper right corner of your Tumblr blog page.
- 4). Click the "Info" tab.
- 5). Click the "Browse" button under Portrait Photo.
- 6). Navigate through the files and folders on your hard drive to find the picture you want to use as an avatar. Double-click its icon to upload it to Tumblr.
- 7). Click the "Save + Close" button. Tumblr will process your new avatar and display it immediately.
