I found out about this campground from many months of searching and reading on the Internet, and I RV camped there in July 2010.
Describe your camping trip:
This was our first time at Myrtle Beach RV Park, and in our RV in general. I can only say wonderful things about the entire place. We visited in July 2010, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the park was super clean. The bath houses were cleaned at least 3 times a day.
It seemed like whenever we went in someone was in there with a mop. Our site was perfect! We were 5 spots away from the beach and 4 from the bath house, and a few more steps to the pool. We know from past visits to condos at MyrtleBeach that this time of year can be crazy, but I never felt like we were on top of everyone like you do in a big condo complex. All I can say is, I am counting down the days till we can come back. We will come back here again! Great Great GREAT PLACE!
Pros: Big, but still has a very small feel. Staff very helpful. Large sites.
Cons: Some spots a little bumpy for a bigger RV, but not too much to gripe about. Book way early, or you will not get in. I'm talking a year in advance for busy times.
Nearby attractions: Close to everything.
Further comments: This was our first trip in our 36-foot RV. We did have some first timer issues with the RV, but with the help of our new friends, we worked through them. RV/camping people are a different breed than the usual hussle bussle world.
This was one of our most relaxing trips we've ever taked even with all our RV issues (broked jack, leaking roof, etc.). If you're thinking about taking the plunge into the camping world, DO IT!
