- 1). Go to the Malwarebytes page on the Cnet website (see Resources). Click the download link to download the Malwarebytes installation. Then, open the installation in order to install Malwarebytes.
- 2). Open Malwarebytes.
- 3). Choose "Perform quick scan." Then click "Scan." Malwarebytes will scan your computer for Winfix and other infections. When the scan completes, a box will open. Click "OK" to close that box and get to the scan results.
- 4). Click every box found in the far left column of the window in order to select each of the infections, including Winfix.
- 5). Click the "Remove Selected" window. Winfix and the other infections will be removed from your computer.
