- 1). Navigate to "Start" > "All Programs" > "Accessories," then right click on "Notepad," and click "Run as Administrator." Click "OK," if you are asked for permission to continue.
- 2). Click "File" > "Open" to bring up the file navigator and select "All Files" in the file type drop-down menu.
- 3). Navigate to "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc" and open the "Hosts" file.
- 4). At the bottom of the file, paste this line of text: "127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net"
- 5). Save the Hosts file and exit Notepad.
