- 1). Open the front lid of the HP printer. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
- 2). Dampen one end of a Q-tip in warm water. Rub this end across the printer head. It will remove dried ink, which will result in better ink flow when printing documents.
- 3). Dry the printer head with the other end of the Q-tip.
- 4). Place the ink cartridge back into the printer and close the lid.
