How to Install Microsoft XP Pro
- 1). Insert the Windows XP Pro installation disc into the disc drive and turn the computer off.
- 2). Turn the computer back on and press the space bar repeatedly until you see the message "Press any key to boot from CD." At that point, press any key on the keyboard.
- 3). Wait for Windows XP Pro to load and take you to a blue screen that welcomes you to Windows setup. Press "Enter" at this welcome screen. Press "F8" to show that you agree to the licensing terms.
- 4). Click on the hard drive that you want to install Windows XP Pro on and press the "Enter" key. From there, allow Windows XP Pro to automatically install onto the computer. Occasionally the setup will stop and ask for information. When this happens, fill in the requested information and click on "Next."
- 5). Wait for Windows XP Pro to finish the automatic installation. When it's done, it will display the message "Welcome to Windows XP Pro" and offer to take you on a virtual tour of Windows XP Pro.
