How to Find the Graphics Card on a PC
- 1). Open the Start menu and click "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "Hardware and sound" on the next menu.
- 3). Click "View hardware and devices" under "Device Manager."
- 4). Expand the display adapters menu by clicking the "+" to its left. You'll see the model of your installed video card when the menu expands.
- 1). Follow the monitor cable to the computer case. This is where your graphics card probably is. Go to Step 2 to find the card inside the computer.
- 2). Turn off your computer and unplug the power.
- 3). Open the case. If the monitor cable connects to a card plugged into your motherboard, you've found the graphics card. If your monitor plugs into a connector attached directly to the motherboard, you don't have a graphics card. You have a graphics adapter that is integrated into the motherboard.
