How Do I Clean a Howard Miller Wall Clock?
- 1). Spray some furniture or wood polish on a clean, soft cloth and wipe the frame of the clock. Do not use silicon liquid cleaner or a paste-based wax, as these may damage the wood.
- 2). Spray some glass cleaner without ammonia onto a clean, soft cloth and wipe the crystal surface of the clock. Do not spray directly on the clock, as the spray may accidentally enter the workings of the clock and cause damage.
- 3). Hang the clock on a wall away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures and check the wood occasionally to ensure cracking or splitting has not occurred.
- 4). Take or send the clock to an authorized Howard Miller Service Center once every 5 to 10 years to be professionally cleaned and oiled. The company does not recommend that individuals oil the clock themselves.
