Friday, December 14 Recap
She demands to know what’s going on, noting how Lucas is making the package out to be a matter of life and death.
Back at EJ’s apartment, a representative from the delivery company knocks on the door. EJ wheels over and hides the package before rising up from his wheelchair and answering the door. The rep insists the package was for someone else. EJ claims he was just trying to save his neighbor the trouble and gave it to him. The man reveals that Lucas was just at the main office and was not happy. He proceeds to check with Lucas, but EJ attempts to discourage him from doing so by claiming that Lucas is an angry big guy. After the man leaves, EJ sits back down in his wheelchair and congratulates himself. He is about to open the package when he’s interrupted by yet another knock at the door and answers it to his physical therapist named Sandy. He tries to blow her off and claims he’s tired, but she is eager to get his motor running.
Back at Lucas and Sami’s place, Sami continues to insist that his package isn’t there, unless Johnny or Allie signed for it.
Lucas wonders who would sign for it and claims that his “papers” are an investment for their future. She proceeds to return EJ’s bag of gifts, ready to confront him about eavesdropping. She tells Lucas to calm down and not to stress about it, but that’s easier said than done for Lucas.
Sandy later works with EJ and notes how strong his legs are for his kind of spinal injury. She wonders if he’s tried to walk yet. “Sure, I was just warming up in the living room doing laps earlier,” he quips. She is about ready to help him walk when Sami angrily barges in and confronts him about eavesdropping. “You unbelievable bastard!” she exclaims. EJ makes the introductions and requests to do his therapy another night. She helps him into a chair before granting alone time for Sami and EJ. Sami confronts him about using the baby monitor to eavesdrop and threatens to tear his place apart until she finds the other half. She angrily slams things around and threatens to redecorate, then finally finds it on the couch before she storms out. He locks the door, then vows to win the war with the package. EJ later chuckles wickedly as he opens the package to Lucas’s gun. “Oh, bang bang Lucas. Bang bang,” a complacent EJ smiles.
At Chez Rouge, Chloe approaches Philip after the reunion and notes that he’s still there. She coaxes a grumpy Philip into buying her a drink. They approach the bar, where Philip announces that he’s going home since he has a big day tomorrow. She assumes he’s mad at her for spilling the beans to Shawn. Chloe advises him to forget Belle and change his focus.
In another part of Chez Rouge, Kate smugly wonders what Philip did to deserve having to go to jail, even though she knows Bo is referring to Lucas. She claims that she’s expecting an important call about a business deal, but Bo doesn’t buy it. Hope excuses herself to answer a call while Bo reveals that Lucas was hiding a gun which was involved in criminal activity. She suggests he look in the evidence room. Bo then brings up the two guns which Lucas bought and implores her spill where the second gun is. Kate denies knowing anything about a second gun. Bo confronts her about how Lucas lied about being at the church that night, about having a second gun, and now he’s chasing a package all over town. She quips how she would love to help the Salem P.D., but supposedly doesn’t have a clue about any package. Bo reminds her how Lucas recently showed up at Air Move Express and left empty handed. Kate makes a crack about stopping the press for that one. Bo confronts her with the knowledge that Lucas took her car keys and exited the back door trying to lose the cop on his tail. A smug Bo reminds her that she’s already been arrested for attempted murder, so she could possibly work out a plea bargain with the D.A. He then demands to know what’s in Lucas’s package and why Lucas is so desperate to get his hands on it. Kate claims she can’t help him, but offers to ask Lucas next time she speaks to him. “Now would be good,” he suggests as he grabs her phone.
Philip and Chloe later have a drink together as Chloe suggests he go back to the future, but Phil’s not interested in taking a trip down memory lane. She implores him to forget the fantasy and see what’s in front of him. Hope approaches them and gives Chloe a hug and warm greeting. She asks if Brady’s with her, but Chloe claims he had business in Europe. She invites Chloe to come over to the house and meet Ciara, then asks to have a word alone with Philip. She tells a smug Philip to leave Shawn alone. “Does Shawn know you’re protecting him from the big bad bully?” questions Philip. Hope reminds him how he and Shawn used to be as close as brothers. Philip briefly recalls childhood memories with the Brady family, but states that things change. He brings up the reunion and how Shawn and Belle were crowned king and queen and how he was tagged as a war hero. Hope insists the old connection between him and Shawn is still there and states that Belle has made her choice. She implores him to leave Shawn and Belle alone if he truly cares about her.
