- 1). Turn off your computer. When installing the Cintiq 21UX or any other Wacom interactive display, make sure your computer is off.
- 2). Determine what kind of display connector your computer has. The Cintiq 21UX is compatible with DVI-I, DVI-D, VGA, Apple ADC and Mini-VGA connectors.
- 3). Connect the proper cable to your computer. Make sure any screws are tightened properly.
- 4). Set the DVI/VGA switch on the back of the Cintiq. If you are connecting via DVI-I, DVI-D or ADC choose DVI. If you are connecting via VGA or mini-VGA choose VGA.
- 5). Connect the video cable to the Cintiq adapter. Make sure the cables are plugged in properly to your computer and the adapter.
- 6). Plug in the Cintiq 21UX. Connect the power adapter to the Cintiq and then connect the power cable to the adapter and plug it in.
- 7). Turn on the Cintiq 21UX. The Cintiq's LED light will turn orange when it is receiving power.
- 8). Turn on your computer. The Cintiq 21UX will install itself.
- 1). Connect the Cintiq to your computer via USB. The USB connection will facilitate the pen tablet properties of the device.
- 2). Install the pen tablet drivers. Insert the Wacom Pen Tablet Driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and select "INSTALL TABLET" when the menu displays. If the menu does not display, locate the CD and click on the "INSTALL" icon.
- 3). Configure your tablet. Locate "Wacom Tablet Properties" in the Control Panel and calibrate and configure your Cintiq as desired.
