    • The salary for a financial sales rep will vary depending on location and cost of living. Connecticut is the top-paying state for sales reps at $161,110, followed by New York at $125,550. The top two highest-paying metropolitan areas for sales reps are also in Connecticut; in Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk the average salary is $171,740, and in Danbury the average salary is $143,340. The San Francisco, California, area also offers higher-than-average wages for financial sales reps at $140,350 a year.
