Over the counter treatment can be found everywhere but it is very expensive though.
Bacterial vaginosis is a type of disease that produces unpleasant vaginal smell.
This may not be considered as a severe disease but it is very embarrassing having an unpleasant smell especially in the public.
Many women do not understand the real meaning of bacterial vaginosis which makes the condition worse.
In order to solve a problem, you must know its root cause.
Actually, BV is not an infection but an inflammation due to an overgrowth of bad bacteria.
Vagina has two types of bacteria; the good and bad.
Good bacteria help maintain the equilibrium and fight bad bacteria away.
A bad bacterium causes the unpleasant smell of the vagina and has a tendency to grow faster.
There are also symptoms that indicate in having BV such as burning sensation during urination process, itchiness outside and within vaginal area, the feeling of pain during sexual intercourse and an abnormal vagina discharge of watery thin white or grayish color.
It is also proven that over washing can cause BV, most women tend to do this because they think that it can eliminate the odor but ironically, it will even make the situation worse.
Usually, doctors will prescribe antibiotics in curing BV but as a study shows, it cannot help in curing BV but can even make the condition get even worse.
Antibiotics do not discriminate between good and bad bacteria, it kills both.
Bacteria keeps on coming back, and when they re-populate there is a tendency that bad bacteria grow even faster than the good ones so BV will come back again.
Therefore I conclude that using antibiotics is not the answer for your problem.
