Potty Training For Dogs

Dogs will be dogs.
And as domesticated animals, they will still retain their wild ancestry without hesitation.
They poop whenever, wherever.
Unfortunately, we hate poop, but we love dogs.
So allow yourself to learn some simple things about how to potty train your dog.
This is key in enjoying the company of your new best friend.
First things first: be responsible for your dog.
Having a dog requires time, money and emotional investment.
Unless you are ready to accept these simple requirements, think and rethink the urge to go to your favorite pet shop.
Also consider your family, your kids and your job.
Do these things afford you to have a dog? This may seem too drastic, but potty training takes a lot of work.
In potty training, consider the following: Start young with your dog Old habits die hard.
So the earlier you start, the better your chances for success.
Puppies might have a hard time following instructions and they might have minimal bladder control, but they can retain the good habit faster, without past experiences troubling them to follow or not.
Also think of this as an educational plan for your dog.
The earlier you start, the cheaper it gets (to whatever cost this might demand from you) Patience is a must Express affection to your dog by being in control of your feelings.
No matter how hard it might be to train him, show him the respect and encouragement he needs to sustain the learning.
Your dog might have a hard time following directions when he sees your erratic behavior, from a loving and gentle house mate to a raging giant monster.
Make the learning fun, carefree and light.
When he fails to comply, clean up the mess in a casual manner, without giving him any hints of anger.
Timing is everything Dogs are not complicated creatures.
Well, all animals are not.
They take in food, and they let it out accordingly in a few minutes (15-20 minutes to be exact).
Accept the fact that you are in the middle of this process.
Do not feed him or let him drink if you have no time to take him out to do his thing.
If you need to go, and you need to feed him anyway, do not punish him for violating your sacred agreements.
Clean up the floor.
