Massive Satellite Data Flow Coming In On Rain Forests - Now It"s Time to Act

Well, it seems whatever sort of advanced technology that humans come up with, entrepreneurs will always find endless applications to apply it.
Let me give you a case study here, because there was something recently in his scientific research news which can help environmental scientists stop the degradation of the rain forest.
If you are a tree loving environmentalists, you will love this concept, but even if you aren't, you have to marvel at the technology.
Okay so let's talk.
Science Daily had an interesting article recently posted on June 18, 2012 titled; "Landsat Sets the Standard for Maps of World's Forests," which stated; "NASA's Earth-observing fleet of satellites provides a worldwide and unbiased view with standardized scientific data -- information crucial for tracking the health of the world's forests," and the article explained some rather incredible features of this technology.
Now then, I'd like to couple this with yet, another technology, and let's go ahead and revamp the rain forests of the worlds, filling in the troubled areas in between, and use UAVs to plant trees.
Back in 2005, our think tank came up with an idea to use unmanned aerial vehicles, aerial firefighting airdrop programs, and inexpensive sophisticated little cone shaped devices with seedlings and water in them which when dropped onto the ground from altitude would automatically pierce the soil, split open the container, and water the seed.
The trick would be to basically carpet bomb with seeds areas which were having problems in the rain forest.
This would cause new saplings to get started.
No, not all the seeds would take all the time, in fact that was proven by a project done by the University of Louisiana where they tried to re-plant natural brush using the same methodology to increase the strength of the delta islands to maintain the buffer zone against hurricanes.
You might've watched the special on the Discovery Channel about this.
Still, taking our strategy, along with what was learned from that experiment, and coupling it with this new Landsat satellite data, we could actually create an automatic replanting system for all of the rain forests throughout the world, anywhere there was a challenge or a problem, these unmanned aerial vehicles and would come to the rescue.
Instead of using UAVs just to track down and kill terrorists, we simply use the UAVs to plant more trees.
Yes, I thought you might appreciate that concept.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
