- 1). Open up as many doors and windows as possible to let fresh air into the space. Ventilation is one of the best ways of getting rid of the fumes.
- 2). Place fans around the outside perimeter of the vinyl to create even more airflow. This will accelerate the ventilation process.
- 3). Mop the floor with warm water and a mild floor detergent to help wash away any remaining chemicals from the factory.
- 4). Wait for the floor to dry and then spray it with a 3-to-1 mixture of water and white vinegar. White vinegar is a natural deodorizer and will help eliminate the remaining scent of the vinyl fumes. The vinegar scent will naturally disappear within minutes. Wipe up the vinegar with a rag after letting it sit for a minute.
