- 1). Clean the surface by removing any debris or dirt. Wipe it down with a mild cleanser and soft sponge. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly before continuing.
- 2). Sand the damaged surface with medium-grit sandpaper. Remove the damaged Envirotex down to the bare surface material. Clean the surface to remove the granular sealant the sandpaper produced, and wipe it with a damp sponge.
- 3). Buff the area lightly with fine-grit sandpaper to remove any ruts created by the use of the higher grit sandpaper. Wipe the surface with the damp sponge again to remove the dust.
- 4). Mix the Envirotex resin and hardener together in a small bowl or bucket, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make only enough to sufficiently cover the area for repair. Mix the substances vigorously for approximately 2 minutes to ensure the compounds are well blended.
- 5). Pour the Envirotex out over the area for repair. Start pouring slowly at the center of the sanded area and out to the edges. Apply only enough to get it fully covered, as it spreads out over the spot.
- 6). Spread the compound with a plastic spatula or putty knife to thread it over the existing Envirotex. It is self-leveling, but may require some help smoothing completely. Leave the surface to dry for approximately 1 hour, then check the drying progress
- 7). Cover the surface with plastic sheeting and support it with scrap wood blocks so it doesn't touch the still drying compound. Let it dry for a full 48 hours.
