BIGG BOSS is a television program which grants allegedly unscripted melodrama or hilarious situations, documents actual events, and habitually features ordinary individuals instead of skilled actors, occasionally in the competition or other where a prize is awarded. It was first stared in the year 2006, grounded on the innovative BIG BROTHER format established by JOHN DE MOL which is an original Dutch version of the international reality television, a designed format which contestants animate in a remote house trying to evade being evicted by the community with the intention to win a prize at the finale.
14 contestants live together in one house provided with all the necessary facilities such as pool, garden, activity room and gym but avoiding TV connections, phones, internet connection, pen or paper and clocks. In every season new houses are built that are fully furnished and decorated with all the modern amenities. All the contestants are given certain task by mysterious person known as BIGG BOSS everyday which is to be followed by everyone, they have face new challenges, get adjusted according to the environment and the people around, perform the different task, make themselves safe from the nomination etc. Every week of the season two housemates or contestants are nominated from which any one is voted by public and that housemate is to quit from the house. BIGG BOSS is hosted by a biggest celebrity SALMAN KHAN our DABANGG hero, the first season was hosted by the actor Arshad Warsi followed by Amitabh Bachhan in the next seasons
SABU CYRIL an art director who has designed the house for the sixth season says the capacious BIGG BOSS house promises to give a home like familiarity to the convicts, from contemporary facilities to natural feel. The house is raised in Lonavala where the convicts will be locked for 98 days but will be provided by sufficient space to aperture and cool off. This house is stretched over a breadth on 15,000 square feet consisting of two large unisex bedrooms with transparent walls that separate the rooms, one chiefs house with an attached bathroom, a vast garden area with a small pool with seating arrangements around.
In this season the speciality of the garden are the statues of three monkeys signifying the famous preaching Speak no Evil, See no Evil and Hear no Evil stated by Mahatma Gandhi to avoid the gossiping, fighting and bithcing expansively inside the house. The living room is enormous with an open kitchen and a combined dining area. For the first time, the wall of living room has an inscription on it, which announces the saying: Illusion is the first of all the pleasure. The confession room is considered to be holy shrine of BIGG BOSS which is quit advanced. There is an increase in number of cameras attached from 55 to 70 which will capture the contestants activities.
