There's a new trend in the weight loss industry and it's called calorie shifting. It's not like traditional diet plans. In fact, calorie shifting allows you to eat almost anything you want. Yet, it also can easily allow you to lose 20 pounds in one month.

Traditional Diet Plans:

Traditional diet plans come with a lot of problems. For one thing, they are confusing because they are all different. Some are low-calories. Some are low-carb. Some are low-fat. Some are low-protein. Some are low-everything. Some are in liquid state. Some are in powder form. Some involve exercise plans. Some don't.

Which of those options should you choose? Well, probably none because that brings me to my next bad point about traditional diets. They're all about deprivation. They all take something away from you or from your body that you want and your body needs. Whether that thing is carbs, proteins, solid foods or sweet snacks is irrelevant. It's all a bad idea.

Shifting Calories Gives You Things:

Shifting calories gives you things, rather than taking them away. Here's how it works:

1. Eat 5 or 6 small meals each day.
2. Reduce the portion size of each meal, but varies a bit from day to day.
3. Eat healthy meals for 11 days, then take 3 days off.
4. Indulge a bit on days off, but be reasonable. Don't binge.

Days off give you the ability to eat certain snacks that you enjoy. Eating several meals a day always gives you nearly full and satisfied feeling, which reduces or eliminates between meal snacking.

Eating on such a regular basis gives your body a regulated supply of fuel, which causes the body to burn calories at a regular, elevated rate through the day. That way, your body never goes into starvation mode and starts storing more fat than it needs.

Two Important Rules:

There are two important rules that you have to follow, though. First, exercise a little after every meal, including and especially your last meal of the day. Never sit down for too long right after eating or sleep directly after a meal.

Second, never skip breakfast because your body needs the right fuel to start off the day. If you can follow those simple rules and the simple calorie shifting plan, you'll quickly drop those pesky pounds. So, give it a try! You'll be glad that you did!
