Laser surgery for treating Cataracts includes the laser beams of energy that can be hit to the target accurately.
The YAG laser is the focused laser having very low energy levels that cut the structures in the eye with no harm to any other part of an eye.
The surgeon cuts away a small area if the circle's shape by aiming laser precisely on the posterior lens capsule that leaves some part of the eye capsule so as to keep the lens in a place and removes the required amount of area that can allow the light to pass through the eye to retina.
Before the treatment the doctor uses the eye drop in order to dilate the pupil of the eye.
Each shot of the laser beam performs in a fraction of a second that is not felt by the person being operated but some flashing lights can be seen as the laser is fired and even some clicks of the laser working can be heard.
The complete process of the laser surgery is really fast with no pain.
The surgery does not cause any infection in the eye.
In some cases the eye pressure can rise after the laser surgery which is controlled by the usage of some drops.
The surgery can even cause the cystoids macular oedema that develops the fluid in central part of the eye's retina that causes the vision of the eye to become blotchy, generally after some weeks of clear vision which should be treated immediately.
