Hair Removal For Men Laid Bare

There are various reasons for men to remove hair.
The main one these days is that they want to look good and follow the trend for male models, movie and sports stars who are generally shown with bare chests, sometimes bare legs and always bare backs.
It is simply not "cool" to have a hairy chest any more - although fashions may change and those who permanently removed their chest hair may regret it in future years.
So how is a man to go about hair removal? Well, basically the same methods are suitable for men as women.
The main difference is actually in the area of removing hair from the face where stubble continues to be seen as manly and therefore shaving is pretty much the only method of facial hair removal for men.
As for body hair, we are talking about removing hair from quite large areas of the body and therefore depilatory creams, waxing and laser hair removal are the most suitable methods.
Depilatory cream are least painful (no pain) method whereas waxing is the most painful.
Depilatory creams are also the cheapest method (at least on a short term basis) and laser treatment the most expensive.
Unfortunately the effects of depilatory creams do not last more than a few days before the treatment has to be repeated but they are great for a quick transformation without pain or lasting effects.
The main problem with waxing is how painful the treatment can be leaving your skin red and sore for a few hours but it's great that you only need to repeat waxing after 4 weeks or so to remain smooth.
Fortunately you get used to the sensation over time.
(Hair seems to get a bit weaker too) It is less expensive than laser treatment but the costs do mount up if you are continually having professional waxing treatments every month or so.
Although this will be much reduced if you use a home waxing kit you still have to buy waxing supplies on an ongoing basis.
This leaves us with laser hair removal which over a lifetime will probably work out cheaper.
It is less painful than waxing and you get permanent reduction in your hair growth.
It's up to you to decide whether you can afford a few thousand dollars for a course of treatment and whether you really want to stay almost bare of body hair for the rest of your life.
