How to Make Diaper Rash Cream With Beeswax
- 1). Fill a saucepan about halfway with water and put it on the stove to boil.
- 2). Combine 3 ½ oz. olive oil and 1 oz. beeswax in a glass bowl that is heatproof.
- 3). Lower the heat so that the water in the saucepan is no longer boiling but stays at a simmer. Place the glass bowl on top of the pan (or inside it if you have space).
- 4). Stir the oil and beeswax mixture until the beeswax has melted.
- 5). Take the oil and beeswax mixture away from the simmering water (use oven mitts to avoid burning yourself), and allow it to cool slightly.
- 6). Use a whisk to mix in ½ oz. zinc oxide. You can find this compound in an ointment or powder form at the pharmacy.
- 7). Store the cooled diaper rash cream in a glass jar that is fitted with a tight lid.
