We all instinctively know that selling to a complete stranger is harder and less likely to result in a sale than selling to somebody who knows you, likes you and trusts you.
If you have a base of customers who know, trust and like you, they will most likely buy a product that you offer to them.
This will ensure that you have a recurring and consistent source of income.
When you release a product or make an endorsement, you have a group of people always ready to hear what you have to say.
Consider these 3 important keys in building your base of customers: 1.
Build a mailing list.
The old marketing adage is true "the fortune is in the list".
There are a ton of methods to collect new subscribers but in a nutshell, you simply offer the customer something of value in return for their email address.
For example, this could be a free eBook or access to a website with tonnes of free articles and resources to download.

Revisit your existing customers.
It is much harder, and more expensive, to win a new customer than it is to gain an additional sale from a customer that has already bought from you, knows you, likes you and trust you! Look after your existing customers and you can create an additional stream of income from back end and repeat sales.

Become an expert in your field! Easier to do than you might think.
Publish articles for free (like this one for example), in your chosen field and participate in online discussion forums.
It will not be long before people are referring to you for your advice and referring other people to you too! What would happen to your sales if hundreds or thousands of customers were eagerly awaiting new products announcements from you and ready to buy! Your sales would double, triple or even quadruple! Get out there, take action, invest in building your base of customers who know, like and trust you, using these simple keys and watch your sales soar!
