Hop on a plane for a weekend jaunt to take in some Las Vegas Shows.
Wayne Newton is still one of the favorite singers on the strip.
He's very likable as well as being an engaging entertainer.
He's been singing professionally since the age of six.
The man known as Mr.
Las Vegas gave his 25,000 performance in that town in 1994.
Newton is booked to perform in Las Vegas in October.
He's going to headline at the Flamingo.
The man who was once the opening act for Jack Benny is now the headliner himself in his own Vegas Shows.
Elvis Presley was not a hit in Vegas the first time he performed.
That was in his early years and the crowd was older.
But, years later in 1968, he knocked them off their seats with his Comeback Special.
What a sight he was.
What a voice he had.
Cool in his black leather jacket, he truly lived up to his image as the King and Vegas welcomed him with eager adulation.
Singers are not the only show attractions on the strip.
There are some of the most gorgeous showgirls in the world performing there.
There are spectacular adult topless reviews as well as those featuring skimpily dressed, but not topless dancers.
Singers join them in elaborate shows.
In the past, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr.
and their Rat Pack inhabited the strip.
Their shows were legendary.
Joined by Dean Martin, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford they ruled Vegas in the fifties and sixties.
Frank, Sammy and Dean sang while Joey made them laugh and Peter Lawford, well he was one of them.
Who doesn't love Celine Dion, the singing sensation from Canada.
She headlines in Vegas and the audience can't get enough of her.
The popular Las Vegas Shows by Sigfried and Roy are gone now.
No tigers roam the stage and thrill the audiences.
There are many more phenomenal acts that graced the stages in the clubs.
The people do not go to Vegas simply to gamble.
For many the fantastic shows are the big draw.
