How to Patch Concrete With QUIKRETE Resurfacer
- 1). Using the hammer and chisel, chip away at the brittle spot in the concrete and fashion it into a square-shaped hole. Flatten the bottom and undercut the four sides.
- 2). Sweep away the debris and dust from out of the hole with a broom.
- 3). Apply a concrete bonding liquid to the sides of the hole with a paintbrush to allow the concrete mix to adhere properly.
- 4). Mix the QUIKRETE with water until it is has the consistency of modeling clay. According to the QUIKRETE website, "Start with about 1 part water to 5 parts of Quick-Setting Cement." Mix only the amount of concrete you need to fill the hole.
- 5). Scoop the QUIKRETE into the hole with a metal trowel and smooth into the corners. Work quickly to smooth the top of the patch so that it is level with the rest of the surface.
- 6). Sweep a moistened broom over the surface of the path to give it texture. The QUIKRETE will set in approximately 10 minutes.
