Trackmobile railcar movers are considered the best in the business for their technological innovation. Currently Trackmobile has three Tier 3 mobile railcar movers, the Titan, Viking and Hercules, which, together, cater to a wide range of requirements in the railcar moving industry. Their superior features make them the most economic solution to material handling, both on the road or by rail, since it eliminates the need to buy or rent switching locomotives.

Here is a brief overview of Trackmobile railcar movers' advanced technology:
€Steel Wheel Technology
€Weight Transfer Advantage
€Radio Control System
€Ground Control System
€Force 12 Pneumatics
€Train Airbrake Expertise
€Other Innovations
Besides the above, Trackmobiles are sturdily built and flexible, easy to operate and feature unique on-off track mobility as a result of which these equipment can seamlessly switch between road and rail. They are the preferred choice in almost any industry that uses material handling equipment for a number of applications.

Bimodal capability
Trackmobiles come equipped with steel wheels for movement on rail tracks and rubber tyres for movement on road. Since they can quickly switch between road and rail, controlling them is easy, making it manoeuvrable around the area of operation. Steel wheels are more durable compared to rubber and their rolling resistance is far less.

Max Tran technology
Weight transfer plays an important role in increasing tractive effort. This is based on the concept that there is no need to carry unnecessary weight. For example, when only the railcar mover is moving, it moves only its basic weight, thereby saving fuel and minimizing wear and tear regardless of whether it is traveling on the rail tracks or road. The operator does not have to manage the weight as this is done by the Max Tran, balancing the weight transfer.

The Max Trac
This feature prevents wheel slippage using electronics and keeps track of the association between the ground speed and wheel speed. If there is any sign of wheel slippage during railcar movement, the control module manipulates the fuel control and applies the brakes to get the wheels on the track. This happens intuitively.

Auto Mag
This is a one-of-a-kind electronic shift control system that makes the best choice in range selection depending on the engine's torque needs as the railcar moves on the rails. Once the operator decides the direction the Auto-mag kicks in. It controls the power requirements and chooses the optimum transmission gear to pull the load.

Radio control system
The operator can rely on the alerts from the radio control system as it makes it possible to work from any location, improving productivity. The work area alert system provides two emergency shutdown buttons that can be used to control the transmission, engine and brakes.

Besides the above, the antilock braking prevents the wheels from locking up in snow. Other unique features of the Track mobile equipment include devices for onboard lifting, an electric drive, weight transfer couplers, variable gauge, video cameras, a CAN BUS control sysetm and much more.

As an easy to operate heavy duty equipment, even a single person can easily manage the Trackmobile railcar mover securely as it quickly responds even on uneven tracks and comes with a fully integrated remote control.
