  Golf management prepares students to work in various management duties related to the golf industry. In Canada, most programs are available through the business administration department at colleges and universities. Candidates who successfully complete their training in golf management will receive a bachelor's degree or diploma. Students in golf management programs are required to satisfy the curriculum outlined by the Canadian Professional Golfers Association.
  
  

Golf Management Institute of Canada

• The Golf Management Institute prepares students to work in all areas of golf operation and offers courses that run three to four months. Students can select from a wide array of certificate programs in golf management, such as golf club governance, strategic management in golf operations, business law for golf operations and retail management in golf operations. Courses meet once a week, and most of the classes are accessible online. In addition to providing individual training, GMIC also provides a customized corporate training program. Seminars and workshops include golf equipment and technology, psychology of sport, maximizing customer service and clubhouse design.

Niagara College

• The business administration department at Niagara College offers a golf management course that's been endorsed by the Canadian Golfers Professional Association. Students will receive training in simulated golf clubs and study at a world-class golf academy. All courses are taught by golf industry professionals, and students will have access to indoor and outdoor golf facilities. After successful completion of their training, students will receive a certificate of recognition. Graduates from the program are eligible for employment as assistant professionals, directors of golf, head professionals and tournament directors.

Lethbridge College

• Lethbridge College provides a two-year diploma in business administration with a specialization in golf management, and the program is fully accredited by the Canadian Professional Golf Association. The golf management curriculum is designed to provide students with hands-on training with a solid foundation in business, marketing, management and sales. Students will learn the practical application of golf management through courses like swing analysis, player development and tournament operations. During their training, students will have year-round access to the Evergreen Golf Center. All of the instructors at Lethbridge College are CPGA Class A professionals.
