101 17
If you have tried to get pregnant for long and are somewhat frustrated or have even gotten close to the point of giving up - RELAX! Only in rare cases infertility is the cause for unintentional childlessness. In fact, most couples that experience trouble conceiving are simply dealing with reduced fertility, which can easily be taken care of by planning romance on the woman's most fertile days.

Why use the Fertility Awareness Method

The Fertility Awareness Method has a range of benefits compared to invasive family planning methods such as the intake of hormones or In Vitro Fertilization - here are just a few:
  • Helps you to understand and learn about your body in a natural way!
  • Takes only a few seconds of your time in the comfort of your own home => no appointments in a far-away fertility clinic, no stressful invasion of your personal space
  • No interference in your natural body functions - the Lady-Comp Baby works with and for you
  • Helps you in recognizing fertility issues that can then get treated if necessary
  • 100% natural = 100% side-effect free
  • Involves both partners and is not one-sided - thus it further enhances your relationship and does not make family planning a strenuous task that puts the partnership at risk
  • Low cost - Once you purchased the  fertility monitor there are no follow-up costs involved, such as test strips or even a pregnancy test => The Lady-Comp Baby fertility monitor contains an integrated pregnancy test and also calculates an accurate Expected Delivery Date!

How a fertility monitor works

There are many fertility monitors available on the market and they all work with different methods.

Fertility computers that work with the symptothermal method require you to not only keep track of your basal body temperature (BBT) but also of your cervical mucus pattern, which can take a lot of practice before being reliable and may not be a comfortable option for some women.

Other monitors measure the electrolyte composition of your saliva, or detect increased levels of the luteinizing hormone in your urine. The latter method requires the ongoing purchase of test sticks.

The probably cleanest and also most accurate calculations to determine your most fertile days are undertaken by thermal monitors, as it does not require the purchase of any test sticks, nor do you need to search for a restroom or quiet place (to check your cervical mucus pattern or urine), which can become an issue when traveling for example.

This is how it works:

Wake up - Measure - Done! Using a fertility monitor such as the Ladycomp Baby really is that simple! All you need to do is to take your temperature every morning immediately after you wake up - while still lying down and relaxing - by placing the measuring sensor under your tongue for 50 to 60 seconds. The fertility computer needs this so-called wake-up or basal body temperature (BBT) for its calculations. If you happen to menstruate press the "+" key, otherwise press "-".

Based on extensive data collected during more than 25 years of research and development and your daily body temperature, the computer uses a bio-mathematical projection method to calculate your individual cycle and provide you with a reliable fertility forecast for the next 24 hours. The green light indicates you are "infertile" on this particular day, green means you are "fertile" and thus most likely to fall pregnant, and the orange indication light shows that the computer is still in its learning phase.

Why the temperature indicates the woman's fertility level

Each woman's menstrual cycle is different and it is thus important to find a method that adapts to your individuality without interfering in your bodily functions to help you conceive natural and fast.

Each menstrual cycle can be broken down into 3 main phases:
  1. The "Infertile Phase" at the beginning of your cycle
  2. The "Fertile Phase" around ovulation
  3. The "Infertile Phase" after ovulation

The presence of the hormones estrogen and progesterone are closely linked to your basal body temperature (BBT), the temperature of your body when you are fully at rest and are hence supposed to take your temperature reading (just after you wake up, but before getting up). The  BBT rises during the fertile phase. The increase is ever so slightly, between only 0.25 and 0.45 degrees Celsius, that only a high precision sensor such as the one used by the Ladycomp Baby can detect such variations.

Hence, no matter the rhythm of your cycle, the integrated high-precision temperature sensor, the most accurate in the world, can detect such fluctuations in your BBT and accurately determine when you are at your most fertile and thus most likely to fall pregnant.

How to find the right fertility monitor for you

Finding the right fertility monitor for you is an important but also difficult matter. The market is saturated with devices from all over the globe, yet with something as delicate as family planning you should make sure that you choose a computer that has been tested and certified by the authorities in your country or has undergone extensive independent clinical studies.

Therefore, choosing the cheapest device may end up costing you dearly as the long-awaited baby bump fails to appear due to inaccurate calculations.

Also make sure that you buy the device from officially certified distributors only, in order to benefit from the manufacturer's warranty and services! Purchasing a second-hand monitor can be cheaper, but you will not be able to send it in for free repairs if the warranty has already expired.
