How to Do a System Recovery Without Disks
- 1). Backup your personal data. Normally this should not be affected with this type of system restore, but it is always best to be cautious, and other issues may cause you to loose these files. Copy all of your personal data files to another hard drive or disk. Also, verify you have all of your programs to reinstall, if necessary.
- 2). Go to the "Programs" list, click on the "Maintenance" folder and choose "Backup and Restore." Choose the recovery option and pick a date to which to revert your computer.
- 3). Allow your computer to restart. Windows will take a while to restore. If the restore doesn't work, try again with another date.
