How to Clean Auto Engines
- 1). Open the hood. Cover all electronic parts, especially the distributor, relay box and coils, with plastic bags. Tie the bags on with the wire ties or masking tape. Hose the engine down.
- 2). Spray the Gunk engine cleaner on the engine, fenderwells and the firewall. Scrub the engine with the bristle brush. Allow the Gunk to set for a few minutes. Brush the engine again, then rinse it with the garden hose.
- 3). Spray any stubborn spots left with the Gunk. Allow the Gunk to set into the stubborn spot for 10 minutes. Scrub the spot with a bristle brush, then rinse with the garden hose.
- 4). Wipe the engine down with rags, making sure to get all the excess water off. Remove the plastic bags.
