If you want to change the folder view settings, to apply any new customized advanced users, or to remove corrupt settings and begin afresh, take time to look into the following information as to how the job is done. You will have an experience on how to wholly clear the folder view customization applying the Registry Editor in Window Vista and Windows 7.

First, you have to click on Start, then to type Regedit.exe and to press on Enter key. The next step which you have to follow is to Navigate to these keys in the subsequent way as HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Classes > Local Settings> Software > Microsoft > Windows> Shell >Bags. Then you need to right click on Bags and, thereafter, click on the Export. If you want to keep Backup, you are to save the branch to a .REG file.

The next way you are to take up is to right click on the Bags key, and then you are to choose the Delete key. After that, you are to export it and then to delete the BagMRU key by following the branch: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Classes > Local Settings > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Shell > BagMRU.

Then, opt for Exit of the Registry Editor.

Make sure that you are going to restart Window Explorer (Shell) after clearing out the above-mentioned key. Then, you are to use the "Exit Explorer" hidden GUI choice to Terminate and Restart Explorer.exe in Windows Vista and Windows 7. Be sure that it would help clear the individual folder view, window size and correlative settings.

Have a simplified version of doing the task. You can change the way your files and folders function by using Folder Option in the Control Panel. For this, you have to open folder options by clicking on the Start button, then on Control Panel, then on Appearance and Personalization option, and then on the Folder Option. If you find it difficult to continue with the operations, you need to ask for Windows technical support.

For changing the view of the Folder, for example, if you want to open all files and folders at one Click by replacing the usual Double Click option, you need to click on the Organize in the toolbar and then click on the Folder and Search Options. In the Folder Options, you have to click on the View tab, and then on Apply to Folders. If you want to switch these Folders back to their default settings, you need to click on the Reset Folders.

If you want to turn off the details pane and the preview pane in all Folders, you need to click on the General Tab, and then on the Use Windows Classic Folders. Then, you are to click on the Show Preview and Files for turning the panes back on.

If you are to open new folder in its own folder window (Remember it will be easy by having them on the screen while working with), you are to click on the General tab and then click on the Use Windows Classic Folders. Then, you are to click on the Show Preview and Files for turning panes back on.
