When people are at a risk of heart attack, it's advisable to know and understand the possible heart attack signs that may happen.
As you know, heart attack is very delicate situation and sometimes is very lethal.
Doing necessary and immediately treatments when it happens are very important to survive and avoid further damage.
The problems that often arise are sometimes people have difficulty to recognize the signs, even if they have the previous knowledge, since they're not always associated with heart disease or problems.
Knowing yourself or someone is actually at a risk will help you a lot to spot the early warning signs and then apply the treatment.
You will be at a risk if there is a family history of heart attack.
These are some of the common heart attack signs, although women often get different ones:
  • Pain and discomfort you feel in the center of your chest such as tightness, heaviness, aching, pressure, numbness, burning, fullness or squeezing feeling for over than a few minutes that come and go, choking.
People is sometimes mistaken it as a heartburn.
  • Difficult in breathing, your breath is short.
  • Irregular or fast heart beats.
  • Nausea (Vomiting).
  • Sweating.
  • Dizziness, light-headedness.
  • Anxiety.
  • Pain may spread to the neck, back, left arm, left shoulder, upper abdominal, jaw
  • All of heart attack signs usually happen more than 5 minutes.
What you need to do immediately are:
  • Try to stay relax and control your emotion, ask someone from your family to accompany you.
  • You may take an aspirin or nitroglycerin until your ambulance or your professional help arrive (Important: only if you have your doctor permission and you don't have any medical reason not to do that).
  • Ask somebody to make an emergency call (9-1-1) soon, not regular call.
Do not wait until your symptoms gone.
    This is highly recommended.
There's a time when someone is mistaken to recognize the symptoms.
Don't worry when it happens, because your condition still needs to be examined by a doctor.
  • Warning! Don't wait to call 9-1-1 or your family doctor.
The longer you wait, there's a chance you will significantly damage your heart muscle, limit your treatment choices and your chance to heal completely.
The best time is within an hour since it happens.
  • When it happens near hospital, go ask someone to drive you there if possible.
But you should still make an emergency call.
  • Remember the time when the symptoms show up the first time.
  • My suggestion, doing prevention is always better.
Taking a supplement specifically for heart health can be an alternative to lower your chance to get a heart attack.
Read, learn and ask your doctor opinions about it may help you to make the right decision.
