Carnival Holiday Cruise Review - Carnival Cruise Lines
Cruise Line: Carnival Cruises
Cruise Ship: Holiday
Cruise Destination: Western Caribbean and Cozumel
Cruise Dates: February 14 - February 18, 2008

Here are some thoughts if you are considering a Carnival Cruise on the Holiday. First I would like to start by saying I am 44 year old musician/beer distributor and have been on three Carnival Cruises in the last 15 months - Victory, Freedom and the Holiday.
I loved the Victory and Freedom, had a wonderful time and felt I got way more than I paid for. The Holiday? There is a very good reason why they do not put the brand "Carnival" in front of the name. It stinks! Truly!
I knew the ship was small and older, not a problem. I did not know they used the ship as a training and/or retirement vessel for their employees. This is a true statement, if you make it on, ask the help. The food is way below standards of the other ships. The sewer backed up everyday past day two. Room service is an hour/20 min no matter when you call, and their "please all" attitudes is a small fraction of the other ships. On the other ships they are constantly asking you "how is your cruise". On the Holiday you will not be asked this once, not even at checkout! They already know the answer and don't want to hear it. When going through customs on our return, someone in my party stated to the officer that they would never go on the Holiday again and the officer replied, "I know, no one ever goes on the Holiday twice.
We listen to complaints every time the ship comes in".
If The Freedom is a "10", the Holiday would not scrape the bottom of "1". Save your money even if it's free. Don't take The Ghetto Cruise. I want my money back! J Bird Bates
