    Ammonia Repellent

    • 1). Get several medium sized bowls or plastic containers out. You will need some for your trash can area, and some for around any plant or flower gardens that you may have.

    • 2). Set one rag in each bowl. You can tear up old t-shirts if you don't have any rags.

    • 3). Poor ammonia all over the rags until they are saturated with the ammonia.

    • 4). Set the bowls outside where you want to repel the possums.

    Tea Repellent

    • 1). Pour 2 qts. of distilled water in a pot and bring it to a boil.

    • 2). Remove the pot from the heat and add 4 tbsp. of Lapsang Souchong tea. Stir and allow the ingredients to sit until completely cool.

    • 3). Transfer the homemade tea repellent to an empty spray bottle.

    • 4). Spray your trash cans and outdoor flower and vegetable gardens with the homemade tea repellent. Repeat once every other week, or after a heavy rainfall to continue to keep the possums away.
